Then we started down the trail...

The Man-Cub especially like the toadstool formations...
You can really see the effects of the erosion - one day it will all be just rolling hills...
There were lots of sheer drop-offs like this one - sometimes I would hold the Man-Cubs hand - it made me a little nervous...

We're at the bottom here - now we have to hike back up to the top of the rim...

hey - we flew over similar terrain in (i think) south dakota on our way to custer. it looks even more desolate from the air.
