I have never seen it pre packaged! My father was born and spent his childhood in India, a child of the military between the wars. He had a dish he loved which I have since discovered is indeed Indian. Boiled macaroni, tomatoes - either sliced or canned - and grated cheese. Layer it up starting with macaroni, then tomatoes, cheese, macaroni and end with tomatoes and cheese.
