Now the Green Blade Rises

One of my favorite hymns – we always sing it during Easter. Finally, we are getting some green grass. Everything still looks pretty brown, but if you look closely you can see the green starting to sprout.

  1. I'm glad you have your green grass now. Who gets to mow it? Frank has mowed ours twice and it looks pretty green, but we are still very low on rainfall and the high winds have dried everything more. I will plant my garden next week after we return from trip to Duke.E

  2. Hey - I hope all is well there - we could use some more drying out here. The Man-Cub is happy it's starting to warm up and he can be outside more...

  3. hey - speaking of mowing, I've taken over most of the duties at our house (the boys are always doing something else - it's easier just to do it myself!!) I actually enjoy it to some degree. Last weekend, I looked down and one of my shoes had been sprayed with dark engine oil - oops - seems like our 10 yr old riding mower finally bit the dust. It's mowed a lot of acres. Duane has repaired it many, many times. We've decided it's time to just bite the bullet and get a new one. I had to borrow Pat's mower to finish the lawn - we'll have to get a new one in the next few days. Looking longingly (is that a word??) at the "zero turn radius" mowers......

  4. Hey K,

A volunteer parishoner does the riding mower part of our lawn and all I do is the trim - I wish we could swap duties - haha. Good luck with the new mower...
