Sleepover Friday

The Man-Cub had his best friend over Friday for a sleepover. They are like two peas in a pod - they just go off and play together and I don't hear a peep out of them - they are so engrossed in what they are doing. If you add one or the other of the friend's brothers into the mix - then I have to supervise as there will be trouble then - either someone 'bosses' someone or someone gets left out - they still have fun - but this one on one time has been great!

Friday as soon as we got home from school I said you'd better bundle up and go play because there's going to be a storm (remember they call blizzards storms up here) - so they did - it was about 15 above here...

they are just in their own little zone - they think alike and understand each other perfectly...

This is Saturday afternoon - after the blizzard - it's 16 below zero and it was so cold that they couldn't stand to face into the wind for the picture - but they still wanted to be out on the snow hill - I told them absolutely no more than 15 minutes outside at that temperature...

They came in pretty willingly after about 10...

Their pick for supper - Tater Tot Hotdish (in front of the TV) - I think I've posted about it before - it's just mushroom soup mixed with crumbles with Tater Tots on top - baked...

...Then we had a campout in the living room - the Man-Cub said - they needed to sleep in the living room just in case they 'needed' to get up in the middle of the night and watch some TV... their little eyes closed about 12:30... so I came to do a quick post...

  1. hey, that's so sweet....i remember when mine did just the same kinds of sleepovers (never with negative temps though!!) they eventually evolved into multi-user computer game sleepovers when they were early teenagers - that all ends at about 14 or so. it'll be here before you blink!

    love, k
