LWR Quilt #3

...well - I did get that third quilt top done - and we managed to tie 6 quilts during our work night at church - and for now we have a surplus of quilt tops for our work nights - I'll still be working on a couple for the next work night anyway...

...right now this is what my 'quilting room' (ahem...family room...) floor looks like...

  1. Wow! 6 quilts tied is a lot - how many women were there altogether? I like the idea of tying a quilt, it goes much faster, and I do like the looks of them being a little more primmitive. Though quilted ones are so pretty, too. Your family room looks like you will be busy with some more quilt tops - great for you! You go girl! Hope you're having a great Thurs - and blessings to you and yours. Take care, from central KY.

  3. You are inspiring me! We have a big project we want to work on this winter and I think I'll follow your example of the block quilts!
Just need to finish cutting and piecing the slightly more complicated quilt for my daughter and then we can get started.

  4. Beautiful quilt! I like that your quilt room is your family room! My sewing room is our dining room, I should someday blog about the awful mess that lives in the corner of the room....maybe once I reorganize it I will do some before/after pics or something...it's on my ever-growing list...

  6. I seriously LOVE quilts... 6 is a ton. I have a quilt top that I made in highschool, but have never attempted to finish it. I'm still a little intimidated by the whole thing.

That is fantastic! I love the purple blocks.
Our church has a quilting group, but it seems I am always too busy to go.
