Last hurrah...

...it's funny to see this little marigold blooming well after the first frost here...

...you may remember this pot of salad greens from earlier in the summer - it's provided quite the bounty of lettuce and is now winding down -and I've moved it back under the eaves on the porch so that it will not get frosted - it's still doing OK - but definitely finishing up its growing season...

...so imagine my surprise when I found a marigold growing in amongst the lettuces - it must be a leftover from the marigolds that Scout planted the year before...

  1. You all already had a frost?! Yipes. That sure is a pretty marigold. They are a hearty plant. I plan to plant some more next year. I really like the variety you have in your planter.
