...Rally Day...

...in the Lutheran Church we have a Rally Day each year that marks the beginning of the new Sunday School year...all the kids get 'promoted' to the next level...and we start the year off with a bright new 'quarterly'...(that's what we used to call the Sunday School books when I was little - we don't actually call them that now)...
...it's that time again...

...so everyone lined up for the covered dish picnic...
...and we ate outside under the portico...
...of course...there were bouncy houses to entertain the children...this one was new this year...and it collapses and then as it gets filled up again...it pulls the child up in a harness like a parachute then collapses again and the drop down...it looked like a lot of fun...but sadly...I don't meet the weight requirement...
...and a traditional bouncy house for jumping and flipping...
...and a football, basketball, soccer goal bouncy...
...we had been dodging rainstorms all afternoon and as it got time to start the cornhole tournament...the sky looked threatening again...so we moved indoors...
...people here really take their cornhole seriously...Scout's team was the runner up...

...and a good time was had by all...

~Have a lovely day!

  2. No such thing as lovely bouncy castles when I was a girl, maybe there's a market for adult versions!
