We saw lots of interesting plants in the Painted Canyon and in the Theodore Roosevelt Park.

This is a buffalo berry - we don't have these back east and I kept wondering what the silvery bushes were - then when we got to the Theodore Roosevelt Park - they had an exhibit so I didn't even have to look it up when I got back...

The Man-Cub loved the cacti - there weren't a lot of them but they were very interesting - clinging in little mounds...
