New Book and New Project

The Man-Cub and I are reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (yep - the first one) - and yep - I've already read the last chapter - not only of this one - but the last one as well - remember I hate suspense - so now that I know where we're headed - I can enjoy the story...

And a new project to take on the second leg of our vacation - the Brea Bag -
the pattern is at http://www.berroco.com/exclusives/brea/brea_lg.html - isn't that the cutest purse you've seen a in a long time...

I happened to have some odd green yarn in my stash - it's been there for a few years now I'm sure - I think it's almost a pea soup green color...

I've cast on and worked the first few rows - this is a nice project because you decrease 8 stitches on every right side row - and it gets visibly smaller with each row...

I found this belt for $1.00 at a local discount store that I'm going to use for the handle - and the button is one the Man-Cub and I found at an antique store for a quarter...

  1. It reminds me of the pentagons for the capecho from the front cover of the winter Vogue knitting. I really liked that they each got progressively smaller :)
