...Removing the Heater...

...I was looking through some old photos...trying to find one of the heater in the hallway bathroom...because I wanted a 'before' photo that I neglected to take...arrrggghhh!...

...I didn't find that...
...but I did find a before photo of the recently completed Master Bath...
...there they are...sort of side-by-side...
...anywhoo...I did not find a photo of the old heater...but I'm sure you can imagine it...just a standard silver electric wall heater of the type they installed in bathrooms in the 1960s...there's a central air/heat vent directly below the heater...and we just didn't think we needed it...and we kinda stupidly thought it'd be easier to replace the tile than the heater with a newer one...since they don't make them the exact same size anymore and so we'd have to somehow patch the tile around a new heater...
...so we removed the heater...and patched the wall...then I took the belt sander and sanded the old mastic down to the sheetrock...so we can apply 'harvested' tiles...more on that process tomorrow...and you'll see what I mean about...not exactly easier...HA!

~Have a lovely day!

  3. It was strange because we lived in Hawaii for a while and someone had put a heater in at our home and I was just could never figure out why someone would use it. I do not know if it used to be significantly colder here or whoever was living here before was just very cold blooded and needed it.
