...Dinner and a Movie...

...Dinner was tortillas with homemade refried beans...beets and Foreman grilled sweet potato with some fresh spinach and radishes...

...the movie was my choice...so you knew subtitles would be involved...HA!

...I chose Good Morning

...it's a 1959 comedy film by Japanese director Yasujirō Ozu...so it's pretty old...and it was very sweetly funny...lots of flatulence jokes...and the main plot is that two boys stop speaking completely when their father tells them to be quiet...and they have been watching tv at a neighbors house and they really want a tv of their own...

...there are lots of sub-themes in the film...community...trust...and the importance of small talk in maintaining both...

...I enjoyed it...

...what have you been watching?...

~Have a lovely day!

  1. hey, sounds like a nice family flick. we've seen a bunch of Andy Griffith reruns for some reason! they never get old.

  2. I love this film, Ozu makes wonderful films. Tokyo Story, on YouTube with English subtitles, is considered one of the best films of all time, I love it but it is not a comedy. Ozu uses the same actors in his films.
