...Dinner and a Movie...

...we decided to have Brinner (Breakfast for Dinner)...so I made a pan of blueberry muffins...and then we each ate one while we were cooking everything else...and bonus...we can have them for breakfast Sunday too...
...no southern breakfast is complete without grits...and I wanted cheese grits...so I just crumbled a slice of Daiya cheddar in my bowl of grits...
...and stirred it around to melt...
...if y'all have checked out Sam over at It Doesn't Taste Like Chicken...you should...she is so fun and cute...

...anywhoo...she has a recipe for Toast Dipping Sauce...which is exactly like runny egg yolks...

...and after seeing her recipe I wanted to try it...even though I was NEVER a fan of the runny egg...yuck...
...it's a really simple recipe with just a few ingredients...
...and it definitely has the taste and texture of runny egg yolks...
...so I fried up some tofu and hollowed out the middle to fill it with the runny sauce...
...it was pretty delicious...
...and after a week of nearly 70° (F) days (21° C)...it has turned off cold again...such is March...oh wait...it's only February...whaaaa...

...so we had a nice cozy fire in the fireplace as we watched...

...another episode of the new Poirot series...the A.B.C. Murders...with John Malkovich playing Poirot...

...I was such a fan of the old David Suchet Poirot series...that I'm still not quite sure how I feel about these two new ones...definitely well acted...and very dark...
