...10.3...What I Ate in a Day...as a vegan...

...I started off the day with some green tea...
...I must say that I'm not a huge fan of green tea...the Man likes it a lot though...so we often share a small pot...
...then some cheerios and almond milk for breakfast...
...lunch was what I'm afraid may be the last of this year's fresh home grown tomato sandwiches...homemade vegan mayo...so delicious...
...afternoon snack was some crusty bread, Earth Balance, and regular tea...which is Lipton's...of course...
...I was going to food prep a big batch of brown rice and freeze it the way I usually do...so I washed the rice...
...and I wanted to show you my new mesh strainer...it's this one...my old strainer had broken where the handle meets the rim...and it was just spot welded on...so I checked some reviews and chose this one...when it came I thought it was too big...but now I'm happy that it spans the sink like this...so I can strain things without holding the strainer...so far I'm pretty happy with it...
...big pot of brown rice...
...portioned and ready for the freezer...
...and also ready for supper...
...I spun some baby greens for a big salad to go with the beans and rice...
...and added some oranges and pecans to that for a yummy supper...

...what did you eat yesterday?...

~Have a lovely day!

  1. I bet that hot chow-chow you gave me would have been good with those beans. I learned the hard way that it's not too good in salads that you would normally use a sweet relish.....the hotness is overwhelming.

  2. The tomatoes and your salad look so yummy. What did I eat yesterday? Hmm,I made a big pot of stew (ground beef, root veggies, tomatoes, bow tie pasta). It was delish.
