...Make your Own Bleach Gel...

...this qualifies for both Friday Favorites and Frugal Fridays...

...remember a few weeks ago when I trimmed down those freebie shirts from Goodwill...and I found that one of them actually had some spots on it...

...well...the spots are on the white parts of the shirt...and I was thinking that I could just bleach them...if I could make the bleach stay JUST on the spot...and not spread or leach onto the coloured areas...

...so I decided to make a sort of bleach gravy...
...I just mixed some cornstarch and water and cooked it until thick...
...and then I stirred in a couple of spoonfuls of bleach...which thinned it out to a nice gel consistency with enough body to sit only on the spot where I wanted it...
...so I applied it to the shirt with a q-tip...just make sure you put a towel on the inside so the bleach doesn't soak through to the back...let it set for a few minutes and then wash normally...
...and you can see that it worked perfectly...so I was pretty pleased with my bleach solution...

Bleach Gel

1/4 Cup water
1 Tbsp cornstarch
2 Tbsp bleach

~Have a lovely day!
