...W.I.A.Y. ...

...I made steel cut oats for breakfast...the Man loves steel cut oats...but I'm just kinda getting used to them...
...and I actually still prefer the old fashioned rolled oats...
...topped with some chia seeds...nuts...flax seeds...raisins...
...and a chopped apple...it was really yummy and filling...

Breakfast - Steel Cut Oats, apple, chia, nuts, flaxseed...
...later I had a few of these little figs for a snack...

Snack - Baby Figs...
...for lunch I made these little lettuce wrap/boat thingies...
...they were messy...I just folded them over...
...kind of like a bunless veggie burger...

Lunch - Lettuce with TVP burger, ketchup and mustard...

Snack -I had an orange and some pecans for a snack...but failed to take a picture...sorry...
...I whipped up a vegan pasta salad for dinner...just peas, carrots and fusilli pasta...
...mixed with some Vegenaise and vegan parmesan...
...I love this classic pasta salad...but for some reason I kinda rarely make it...
...and served with some grilled tofu and California Veg mix...

Dinner - Grilled Tofu, Pasta Salad and Mixed Veg...

  1. well, it was a strange day! i had the scrabbled eggs on sourdough toast with fresh spinach at the "food truck" for brekkie (they actually call it that everywhere here)....then i didn't eat again until after the heat-stroke hike. then i ate the pbj sandwich and banana that i had packed late in the evening after i was feeling better. that was it! just didn't feel like eating anything else. but - i'm feeling much better this morning! love, k

  2. I think 'steel cut' oats are what we call oatmeal, recent convert to it. I make oat milk with rolled oats!
