...W.I.P. Wednesday...

...this is another use what you've got post...
...I've had these bamboo purse handles in a Rubbermaid tote for a long time...I got them for $1 at a church basement sale in North Dakota...so they've been moved...and moved again...
...and also in that tote...this old 'purse'...the pattern was one of those free leaflet patterns you can pick up at Michaels/Hobby Lobby/Walmart...and I made it 20-odd years ago...when I was pregnant with Scout...

...I carried it like it is for years...and then I must have forgotten about it...

...we were going through some bins in the basement to take a bunch of stuff to Goodwill...and I found the bag and the handles...and thought...hhhmmmmnnn...what if...I put those two things together...
...so...I took the strap off...and saved the thread...it's just Aunt Lydia's Crochet cotton...but it still might be difficult to match...20 years later...haha...
...the opening matches up with the handles pretty well...
...so then I just single crocheted through the top row of the bag and around the bottom rung of the handles...and TA-Da...a new springtime/summertime bag...

...what's in your workbasket?

~Have a lovely day!...

[ps...I am still working on the Baby Harriett...]

...I think I'm going to have to do something about the opening...it's a little tight...
