...4.6...W.I.P. Wednesday...

...this is a really long post...but it's a busy time in the crafty world...
...I wanted to make some little lovies for my girlies' Easter Baskets...and I saw this pattern Henry's Bunny...and thought it was just adorable...the yarn I'm using is just some Bunny coloured yarn from stash...either Caron Simply Soft or I LOve this Yarn by the feel of it...
...and some of the pieces are tiny...and a bit fiddly to knit...
...the little 'paws' with my phone for some scale...
...but seriously...how CA-UTE is that little bunny...the shaping of his head and ears is amazing...
...so then I made another one using that Soft Boucle yarn I told you about...and that was even harder to work with...but maybe even cuter if that's possible...
...but they turned out to be so adorable...and just different enough for the girls to tell them apart...
...so then I wanted to make them some little chicks too...and I used the pattern Bluebird for that...just not blue...haha...
...just knitted all of the parts in a bright yellow from stash...I didn't have much of it and I was afraid I'd run out...but these little birdies are so tiny that I had plenty of yarn...
...and then the little beak...done in orange...and I switched to even smaller needles...because in the images of the completed projects on Ravelry ALL of the beaks look too large...except for the one in the pattern photo...and the instructions don't note that...
...so...it's pretty tiny...
...here with one of the wings...
...all put together...
...I think the beak is STILL a little bit too large...
...but I still think they are precious...
...tiny little chick...it will fit snugly into their little Easter baskets...
...two little bunnies and two little chicks...we were FaceTime-ing with our little family after they opened the Easter package...and Big Sissie told me she got a "Brown Bunny" and a "Peep"...so sweet and cute that she calls the little chicks Peeps...
...and then for my littlest niece's Birthday present...I stitched all of those little banana strips together...the pattern is Oh, Balls...
...so here it is all stitched together...wrong side out...
...I left a small hole for stuffing...
...turned it right side out...it looks more like a 'ball' now...
...and got stuffing...
...and here it is all stuffed...
...I think it's a good size for little hands to grasp and throw...
...it's so dainty and delightful...and I'm going to think of some cute way to wrap it up before Mom gets here too...
...and last but not least...just least worked on this week...the Easter Sweater...the dart section is finished...and I think I'll just continue on from here and join it back together and seam the darts when I do the other seams...

...onwards...whew!

...what's in your workbasket this week?...

~Have a lovely day!

    1. Hi Karen,
...it was not at all difficult...just a little bit tedious sewing it all together...I'm sure there are balls knit in the round too...that wouldn't require seaming...but the individual panels are pretty mindless stockinette stitch to knit...
