...I finished the Waffle Pillow...and I completely used up only one ball of burgundy yarn...
...just checking that it's perfectly square by folding it in half diagonally...
...so of course...I got a pillow at the thrift store...
...the front and back are different patterns...but unlike the black one that I used for the Hosta pillow...this one is mostly white...
...and you can see it through the open spaces of the waffle pattern...so I'll need to cover both sides of this one so that the white doesn't show through...
...and Stuff-Mart did have two of this colour of burgundy fat quarters...
...and it's a really good match...
...tucked under the waffle pillow cover you can't really see it through the weave...
...so I stitched one of the fat quarters directly to the back of the pillow...
...and then created the 'sandwich' with the waffle pillow cover the fat quarter and the piping...
...right sides together...so this is the back side of the waffle pillow...
...turned it right side out and slipped the pillow in...and stitched up the opening...and the second burgundy pillow was complete...
...what's in your workbasket this week?...
~Have a lovely day!
