...we had such a cold snap this week...with temperatures down in the teens...which only happens here once or twice a year...and for some reason it happens a lot right at Christmas...I made a little makeshift greenhouse for the winter garden...most of the greens are hardy into the twenties...and they all survived...so far...I picked a nice green salad for dinner...
...and with the salad...we had baked tofu topped with Asian chili sauce...roasted Brussels sprouts and stewed potatoes...
...after dinner on this last Friday before Christmas...we turned off the lights...
...and lit the fireplace...
...and watched the best Christmas movie EVER...the 1970 Albert Finney musical version of
Scrooge...
