...the kids were up bright and early to get in the 'early bird' line...our tickets included an hour of pre-park opening time...where the lines would be a lot shorter...
...a little bit of history to read while waiting...
...there were not many people and we walked right onto our first ride...the Raptor...
...we were next in line for the Gatekeeper and the sensor mechanism failed...better safe than sorry...we went on to the Blue Streak...
...then to get to the Millenium Force before the park opened we rode the Sky Line across the park...
...a pretty view of the park and the Lake...
...before we got to Millenium...tragedy struck...a water main had broken and they closed the park...
...our group averaged 3 rides for their much anticipated day at Cedar Point...
...the staff was awesome...offering free passes to return to the park...but we would not be able to return with this group this year...so we opted for a refund...and they graciously refunded everything...even the hotel for the previous day...
...you can read more about it here...
...enter Plan B...
...so the Man...always quick to think on his feet...made quick plans to load up (we couldn't stay at the hotel with no water either)...and travel 3 hours to Columbus...and stay at another hotel with a smaller amusement park and a huge mall...
...so even though the kids were disappointed...they still got to have some fun at a different location...
~Have a lovely day!
