...the watermelons are ripe...really...really ripe...

...being without a garden in this community certainly seems to be a blessing rather than a blight...
...as fresh veg continues to appear on our doorstep...

...our friend...when he dropped off this massive watermelon...said...'it's not very good'...funny...
...and it was so ripe and full that it had split open...so we needed to eat it right away...
...not a problem...if you know me very well at all...you know that I love-Love-LOVE watermelon...

...so we cut right into that monster...and found it to be very good indeed...

...my 'boys' don't like watermelon...so I ate the whole thing...by myself...over the course of two days...yum!...more for me...I say...

...so...do you like watermelon?...and could you eat a whole one in two days like me?...

    Yes, love watermelon, just had a couple of good ones this year, and one not so good, just wasn't ripe, i guess. You know how a lot of people salt their melon ( my dad for one ), but I like mine "straight". MOM

    It is difficult to get a really ripe watermelon here but when we do it is pretty much all mine as well.
