the only drawback was that it had some law firm's logo printed on the front... ...so I just buffed that off with some super fine sandpaper...which also removed some of the pretty blue finish...not to worry...I'm going to cover that up with a vegan stencil... ...so I printed out a few options...and then since I didn't have any contact paper...I just used a large paper label with a sticky back... ...which seemed like it would work perfectly... ...I cut out the outline and positioned it on the bottle over the scuffed part...see...it looks like it will work just as well as contact paper...
...you see where I'm going with this here... ...so I sprayed a coat of white paint...this will be the background...
...you can alreday see that the label/stencil did not stick once I sprayed it with the paint... ...I used some leftover Fusion...you'll never believe what project that is leftover from...the dining room windows in North Dakota... ...so to 'mask' the smudged outline...I did a quick overspray...thinking that it would look like I did it on purpose...

...but then I got the bright idea...that I might be able to tidy things up with acetone...and I did a test spot and it removed the Fusion paint...but not the blue finish...so YAY!...I removed all of the overspray with a q-tip and a cotton ball dipped in acetone... ...let it dry...and removed the stencils... ...it it's ready to go...
...the moral of the story is...don't use a paper stencil with spray paint...
~Have a lovely day!
Good for you for coming up with a solution to the undesirable law firm logo. At 75 cents the reusable water bottle is a steal.
