...7.11...Over the Weekend...a Family Reunion...

...I made some vegan desserts to take to the reunion...this is the same vegan coconut creme pie that I've made before...

...but I poured it over a 9x13 pie crust...

...so that it would be sliceable like bars instead of pie shaped...

...and I made a bunch of little vegan Brownie Bites too...

...and then Saturday morning we headed up the interstate to the mountains...

...I always love it when you top a hill and the mountains come into view...

...Mom was already at the community center...

...and she had made a bunch of vegan food just for me...there's her famous slaw...and a vegan squash casserole and vegan Mexican cornbread...Nanny's recipe...

...and then my sweet sissie arrived...and we spent some time visiting uncles/aunts/cousins that we haven't seen since last year...and some a lot longer ago than that...I do love family reunions...

...and then of course it was time to eat...there were several vegan dishes...in addition to the ones Mom brought for me...so I really overloaded my plate...oh well...I won't need dinner when I get home...haha...

...especially since I also ate a ridiculous amount of dessert...

...and of course we spent some time looking at the old photographs and family histories...it was so much fun...
