...I've started the puzzle Amy gave me for my birthday...the normal way...
...by sorting all of the pieces...
...and separating those all important edge pieces...
...then I put each colour onto a sheet of paper...I save papers with print on one side for just this purpose...
...and then I start putting it all together on a piece of white posterboard...this is mainly so that I can remove it from the dining room table...haha...
...and quizzical looking Dolly #2...has a neck and a chest now...and she's a buxom girl just like her sissie...
...I've finished Heretics of Dune and I'm about halfway through Chapterhouse Dune...and I was considering reading the books published posthumously by Herbert's son...as this was obviously not supposed to be the end of the series...but I've been reading up on the newer books and it seems that early claims that the books were based on Frank Herbert's notes and background material for the series...which I thought would make them worthwhile reads...but they have now said that these notes were very brief and marginal and did not contain in-depth outlines for the new books...so...I don't think I'll bother with those...

I like your approach to puzzle making. I haven't made a puzzle in too long to remember but my niece loves puzzles. She's very good at them and I try to get her a nice one every year with 1000 pieces so keep her occupied. Yours looks like a nice one.
ReplyDeleteBoy, I like the dolly's hair!!! Yeah, we skipped the "extra" Dune books as well. Love, K
