...the Porcelain Sweater is finished...and I do love it...
...I gave it a quick wash on the extra gentle cycle...really just to get it wet for blocking...
...then I went up in the attic and got out
the blocking mat that I'd made a couple of months ago...
...and pinned it to the correct size...the sleeves don't quite fit on the mat though...they would fit diagonally but then the square wouldn't be an inch (the diagonal measurement of a 1 inch square is approximately 1.414 inches)...so you wouldn't want to block to that measurement...
...and I rather agressively blocked the ribbed hem...I don't want it flared necessarily...but I also don't want it snatched...so I'm hoping when it relaxes after blocking it will just be about the same width as the sweater...we'll see...
...I put a couple of tote lids under the sleeves to keep them off the carpet...and I'm going to give it a couple of days to dry completely as it's cotton...
