...this is the very beginning of the very last painting job in the house...our bedroom
...not sure why we left our own room until the very last...other priorities I guess...
...the ever-blooming rose is just that...even with all of the heat we had this summer...
...and Mom's hanging basket is still pretty showy...I'll definitely take better care of it this winter now that I know it can come back so nicely...
...but the wind chime of the back side of the hanger is pretty busted up...too much heat and humidity for it I'm sure...
...so I brought it inside to glue it all back together...
...but when I got to the second round...there was a piece missing...so I went outside and looked around in the brown mulch for it without success...probably hindered by the fact that we've moved the hanger several times...
...so I went out in the garage and coped out a new piece...
...it's not perfect...but it will be good enough...
...so I glued that in place...
...I don't have any brown paint...(surprising I know...haha)...but I got out this brown-ish hammered bronze paint...
...taped everything up...
...and gave it a couple of coats...
...I'm not totally thrilled with the bronze finish...so I may go back and just paint it black...which is a paint colour I do have...
...still harvesting a few handfuls of cow peas...
...I was telling my sweet sissie that I'm trying to pick them right as they turn brown...if you leave them too long they do this thing where they spiral open and spill their beans...
...the days rattlesnake beans...I really do think they are waning...it's been a good run though...
...I harvested the outer leaves of the Napa cabbages again...
...still waiting on them to form heads...
...the little ones are just about ready to be transplanted into the winter garden...maybe I'll put them where I pull up the beans...
...so of course I made the Engine 2 Napa Cabbage again...
~Wishing you a lovely start to your weekend...
