...11.8...Christmas Thrifting...

...we did have Dinner last night...but no movie as we were just packing things up getting ready to head to the airport in the wee sma's...(that's what Lucy Maud Montgomery called the wee small hours)...

...so in this 'scheduled post'...I thought I'd show you what I got at the thrift store the other day...under the pretext of getting the big suitcases...haha...

...they had lots of Christmas stuff out...

...isn't this Santa cookie jar adorable...there were two identical ones...and I thought about getting both of them...but decided to leave one for someone else...the reason I thought about getting two is that I'm probably going to put this little guy out on the front steps...and I could use the second one as an actual cookie jar...which I decided that I didn't really need...

...but look at this wreath...with it's little scandinavian knit ornaments...I thought it was so cute...

...and then I just realized that it had lights...so I popped in some new batteries to see if it worked...

...and it does...of course it does...

...and then on the new-with-tags rack...I found this coral dri-fit Adidas tee-shirt in my size...it'll be perfect for the gym...and bike riding...but probably too cool for it already this year...

...and out of the $1 bin...I got these two sheets...this shiny purple one...

...and this princess/castle themed one...

...so I took them both apart...and got several feet of elastic...and a few yards of fabric...I plan to make this silky purple into reusable gift bags...I just need to get some ribbon to tie them closed...probably white...

...and this one I'm going to use to make the girlies some princess themed pillow cases...there should be enough fabric for two...I just got it and I didn't have time to get it done before we left...but it should be easy enough to do when we get home and small enough to fit in my bag at Christmas...because you know they need a couple more presents...right?...

...and for dinner we still had one of the pre-made pizza crusts...

...so I made a super quick pizza for dinner...and we'll try the dough mix later...
