...I loved the lace pattern and the little fluted edge it produced....
...but I whacked them off above the ankle...
...rolled the yarn back into a ball and picked up the stitches - I increased 6 stitches for one more lace panel...
...and after......here are the re-finished socks with the new upside down top - notice that you lose the pretty fluted edge when you knit from the toe up - originally these were knit from the top down...
...and the super easy lace pattern:
Round 1: [Yo, k1, SK2P, k1, yo, k1] to end.
Round 2: K all sts.



Good work. Too tight socks are unbearable!
