...Walnuts...

...well...I finally got around to cracking those walnuts...I got out a hammer and an old brick...
...and just started smashing away...
...I sat on the cold garage floor on a folded up picnic blanket...
...I got out Nanny's old nut picks...
...and about a half hour later...I had a nice big bowl of black walnuts...

...I think I'll go make Mom's Black Walnut Pound Cake now...

    Nut picks, what a great idea! Enjoy the cake, we put walnuts and walnut oil in wholemeal bread in the bread maker - love walnuts.
