...Band...Band...

...like bang-bang...HA!

...sorry I've been absent from here for a couple of days...Scout and I have had what he terms the 'worst cold of his life'...and his count of circles around the sun...being quite a few shorter than mine...you may want to take that pronouncement with a grain of salt...but it has definitely been one of the worst if not 'the worst' one of my (relatively) longer life...

...but even with terrible colds...there are some things that must be done...

...and Band Concerts and Banquets are two of them...

...Thursday evening we went to this Band's Final Concert...it's a fun-laid-back-music-filled-happy-sad evening...and I say 'this' Band's final concert...because this particular Band will never exist again...with the seniors leaving and the freshmen coming in the fall...

...Scout is pretty much right in the center...wearing a burgundy polo...

...so we gathered in the gym...with some teary-eyed seniors and their parents...

...the hilarious Jungle Fantasy...with the Percussion section making Jungle noises...so cute and fun...

...my favorite of the evening...the Bugler's Holiday...I still have it stuck in my head...Scout keeps telling me to stop singing it...

...and another tradition...the last notes that the Seniors ever play with the Band are always "America The Beautiful"...

...then Friday evening we met at a local country club to celebrate the year...

...at the Annual Band Banquet...

...it was a lot of fun...and they even made a very special vegan meal for me...love it!
