...7.21...Over the Weekend...

...we started off the weekend with vegan biscuits and sausage gravy...
...biscuits in the air fryer...
...the Man and I both split our biscuits before adding gravy...but I put the soft side down and he puts it up...so weird...
...both get smothered with gravy though...
...headed out for a quick shopping trip before the day gets too hot...
...not a lot of stuff...and all pretty much regular things...but the Man asked for dried apricots...so I got some...don't know yet what the plan for them is...
...I baked some tofu feta...and some slices of tofu...in the outdoor oven of course...
...and I stayed out there in the heat...because I had some potting and repotting to do...
...first up...was the only thing left in this felt grow bag from last year...some chives...they're not doing super well so I thought I'd bring them up on the porch so I could baby them a little bit...
....mixed some peat and potting soil...
...and got out the dual solo cups that I used for starting plants in the spring...

...I separated out the chives a little bit...and our Spider plant that Mom had given us has had babies...so I potted those in little cups...
...and then I heard a helicopter...I always look up when I hear one and think of Our Airman...
...then another one came into view...
...and another one...
...and a fourth one...flying in formation back to their base...
...then I separated out the napa cabbages that had gotten partially eaten a few weeks ago when we cleaned the porches...just putting one in each of the solo cups...I'll probably move them to the square foot garden for the fall/winter...
...and I baked our last blueberry cobbler...well probably not the last cobbler...just the last one using our first year homegrown blueberries...

...and apparently I didn't take a photo of the finished cobbler...haha...I know you've seen one before...
...and it's been days since we've had any rain...and the heat index is over 100° F (38° C)...
...and the Man has figured out a placement for the backyard sprinkler that only involves moving it once...

~Wishing you a lovely start to your week!

  1. That was a busy day! Btw, I break up my biscuits into bite size pieces and put the gravy over. I’m a lazy eater and don’t want to have to cut up my bites as I’m eating, haha. Love, K
