...I just had to post this...this was about 6 AM ...so not technically the weekend...but it's 62° F (16° C)...it's so crazy...we never see temps like that in August...
...anywhooo...over the weekend...we did the weekly shopping...nothing of note...but Aldi had the tiniest little cabbages...weird...
...it was so nice and cool that we sat out on the porch and waited for a storm...the sky turned that stormy orange colour...but the storm went right by us without a drop of rain...
...but then it rained pretty much non stop all weekend...I sat out in the drizzle and cleaned out the lillies...
...and the Man surreptitiously took this very flattering (NOT) photo of me pulling up the lespedeza that's trying to take over the yard...it definitely won't win because I'll always pull it up when I see it...it's still sprinkling rain...and I've got quite a pile of lespedeza there beside me...I spent about an hour doing that...and I was on the phone with Mom the entire time...
...I harvested some lettuce, chard, a couple of tomatoes, and a handful of rattlesnake beans...I also planted two new squash seeds...and two square feet of bush beans...hoping to get another harvest of those before fall...
...back inside I removed the wilted flowers from my birthday bouquet...
...I made some banana chocolate nice-cream...
...I did a little bit of cooking in the outdoor kitchen...
...still loving the air fryer...it makes the best fries ever...
...I mixed up some self rising flour...
...and ground some flaxseeds...
...and of course I made a batch of Toby's dip...
~Wishing you a lovely start to your week!

we are experiencing high (very very high) and low temperatures up here. And bad storms...
ReplyDeleteWow, 62 degrees is low! We never got that low but it is a pleasant change. Your nice-cream reminds me. When playing cards the other day with our boat neighbors, the had snacks. On of which was a store bought chocolate hummus! It was really good served with pretzel chips. Just the perfect amount of sweet and savory. The ingredients looked like just cocoa, chickpeas and a bit of sugar. Love, K
