...it really did rain in the desert...
...so we took the opportunity to go back downtown...in the rain...
...not sure the Man like driving back downtown...in the rain...
...the view from the rain spattered window...
...an artsy photo of the Needle...
...this World's Largest Gift Shop was our first destination...Our Airman wanted to get some little souvenirs for his girls...
...we crossed my Sissie's street...
...and I got a good photo of the dome...not at it's most colourful though...
...and our second stop was this German restaurant that Our Airman knew about...
...a guy came in later and starting setting up the band area...
...the painted ceiling...
...it was a huge dining hall...and they weren't busy...but you would have shared a table with other guests if they were...
...the pretty menu...
...of course I'm getting the Veganes Schnitzel...
...it comes with a huge mound of vegan potato/cucumber salad...and a little cup of cranberry sauce...
...it was so delicious...I ate all of the schnitzel...but only about half of the salad...
...leaving downtown...in the rain...
...I was curious about the drainage canals...so when we crossed one I snapped a photo...not full...but there's definitely a lot of water flowing there...
...Our Airman and I worked out here every other day...it's a goreous big gym...
...and I had a soggy run on the track...but I was the only one out there today...
...and checkout is tomorrow...so we ate up all the leftovers...
~Have a lovely evening...

Another fun day even though it rained. The vegan schnitzel looks really good. I remember eating in a German restaurant for the first time when I was just in my early 20s at Epcot in Florida. I was there on a business trip, all the new experience to me. We ate on big long tables and sat next to whoever came in next. Seemed really odd at the time. Love, K.
