These are my few tulips leaning out to catch the last of the sun's rays - already it's "good and daylight" until about 9:30 at night up here. This photo was taken about 8:30 PM.
... related to yesterday's blog - I went to the grocery store and as I was checking out the clerk kept looking at me funny - I didn't have a bandage, but I had put an antibiotic salve on my abraded face - so I mentionned that I had fallen and how it had happened and she looked at me (pitifully) like I was an abused child who had just told her that I had fallen from a swing. So I showed her my bruised wrists and almost showed her my shoulder as I don't think those are typical injuries from a beating (I could be wrong here) - I'll have to tell the Man about it as everyone in town knows who I am...
I spent a restless night and I don't think I'll run with Jack today...
well, your flowers are quite pretty,but your black and blue spots aren't!! i bet that hurt once you were over the shock. i had backed into a propeller edge the day before i left for china and got a really nasty 3" bruise on the back of my upper arm. i wore a sleeveless shirt on the sub-way one day and i could see everyone looking at the back of my arm while i had my arm raised high holding onto the rail at the ceiling inside the subway for balance....or maybe they were just staring at the weird looking red-head, i don't know.....

your flowers are really pretty - i can't believe how late it stays daylight there. that sounds pretty good, actually! we noticed in china that it was daylight at 5am, but also getting dark at 6pm. i'll have to think about that because they are not that different in lattitude....oh well, i'm suffering from jet lag a little - i only slept from 2am-5am last night. if i can just stay up all day today, it will probably work itself out.

Hey are you home? Hope you had a very happy birthday. Presents on the way - I thought I still had a couple of weeks - haha - You'll bounce back from the jetlag in no time - have fun on the boat too.

Yep we planted them 2 years ago - in the fall right after we moved - I'm much better now...
