...Scout and a couple of his friends have taken advantage of a sunny day to do some very chilly wading - this water was just ice - but the sun can do miracles - and they don't appear to be in too much pain...

why is it that kids - as soon as the sun is a bit warmer - think that it's warm enough to wear shorts and wade? :)
I don't think they look cold. Kids are so much gamer then adults.
Only kids think it's fun to wade in ice cold water (I remember the days when I felt the same way) :)
