...more visiting...

...on my last day with my sweet sister...after everyone else had left and we had some 'free' time...
...we went to Trader Joe's....my very first visit to Trader Joe's...we had coffee and picked up all the goodies I thought I could cram in my carry-on suitcase...
...the next day...Karen took me to the airport and snapped this sweet Sister photo...as it turned out my bag was too heavy to be a carry-on and had to be checked... ...
...this is what all was crammed in there with my clothes...

1)...4 lovely knitting books...that Karen 'found' for me...just on the cusp of being vintage...still I'm going to enjoy looking through them and finding new things...and by 'found' I mean that she picked them up at the Swap Room at her local dump...a place where people can drop off still useable items for other people to just pick up...I think this is such an awesome idea...

2)...EnerG Egg replacer...I came without a list...so I had to try and think of what we needed back home...

3)...5 bags of vegan chocolate chips...they're harder to find than one would imagine...

4)...3 willow cups...I'll do a whole post on that tomorrow...
and...5)...and three containers of tea that Karen brought back from Taiwan just for me...you can read all about her trip here)...don't I have the best Sissie on earth...I'll post about them when I try them out...the Almond tea is an instant packet but it's described here...and the Da Yu Lin Tea sounds fascinating and wonderful...I don't think I've ever read such a loving description of a tea before...and I didn't realize that people re-steeped their tea and compared the different tastings that way...

...so you can see why my overstuffed carry-on bag had to be checked...HA!

~Have a lovely day!

  1. I love Trader Joe's! The closest one to me is 30 mins away in Chapel Hill and I shouldn't complain b/c people like you don't have one nearby! Glad you got to make a stop! I like the picture with your sis too. Cute! :-)

  3. Good that you were able to get some unique items, including those almost vintage knitting books. I do love the Willow pattern so look forward to a close up of your cups.
