...probably only of interest to our family...who probably care more about this old house than the general population...

...we've had a leak...

...and we had to hire a plumber...if you're local and you need a recommendation give us a call...'cause they were awesome...and a good plumber can be hard to find...

...the copper pipe had become pitted and started to leak...luckily the plumber told us that this piece that leaked was a piece of soft copper that they had used (50 years ago) because it would bend over and through the concrete wall...you know instead of cutting angled pieces...a sort of a shortcut...
...are shortcuts in the building of a house EVER a good idea?...

...and this worried us quite a bit because what if all the copper pipe was in that shape and we'd just go from one leak to the next...

...so all the soft copper was replaced with the proper angled pieces out of rigid copper...and all is now well chez Affectioknit...
