...Happy New Year!!!

...Wishing you a blessed 2014...
...we un-decorated today...

  2. Happy New Year! First I've heard of the tradition. Here we have a traditional dinner of roast ham or turkey just like Christmas or Thanksgiving. I know that wouldn't be suitable for a vegan :-)

  3. It looks good - I have never eaten cornbread. We had pasta bake, not quite the same feeling there!

  4. Love the idea of the dime in the black eyed peas, similar to the coin in the Christmas pudding. We had a Christmas dinner (lunch) at junior school, children 8 - 12 years. The dinner ladies put threepenny bits wrapped in greaseproof paper in the pudding. Alas I never found one - or not knowingly!

    Interesting how so many cultures have something hidden in a foodstuff over this period.
