...W.I.P. Wednesday...

...this is another Super Simple Triangular Shawlette....of sorts...for the Church Prayer Shawl Ministry...

...I said 'of sorts'...because it's twice as wide as the little shawlette...this is only half...so it starts the same...but I increase at the beginning of one row and at the end of the next row up to 100 stitches ...you can almost see the little vertical row of eyelets...I'll make another mirrored one...so one side stays straight...and then I plan to crochet them together up the center back with a chain stitch...

...because I want it to be a nice wide and deep triangle...but I don't want to cram 200 stitches on my straight needles...
...it needed to be twice as wide to be able to wrap cozily around someone in a wheelchair or bed...as that's where most of these prayer shawls go...and the little shawlette is actually probably more ornamental than functional...

...and I am loving this yarn...called I Love This Yarn!...this one is the super soft metallic...
...in other news...we've watched the final episode of Poirot...and I don't quite know what to say...

...so...so sad that it would end the way it did...Poirot has been a part of our lives since the late 80's when I was teaching in Raleigh...I used to look forward to it each week on Mystery on PBS...

...Curtain, Poirot's Last Case...ah well...Sic transit Mundus...

~Have a lovely day!

  2. I make all my baby blankets from I Love This Yarn. Nice selection of colors and it has such a nice soft silky feel to it. I do like the color you are using. I finally finished my sweater, and I need to post a picture. Time for a new knitting project!
