...W.I.P. Wednesday...

...way back at Christmas...Scout gave me a couple of balls of a silky bamboo yarn to make some socks with...and it's purple...my favorite colour...

...so I finally got around to starting a little project...some old fashioned bed socks...to keep my trotters toasty under the covers this coming winter...
...I found a neat vintage pattern...Knitted Spiral Bed Socks | No. 4705...and this is a better photo of the colour...it's really soft and pretty so far...

...what's in your workbasket?...

~Have a lovely day!

  2. I am knitting a turquoise cardigan in 4 ply bamboo. What a lovely gift of yarn, knows you well. I was reading about 'spiral' socks. They were popular in the war as they did not wear as quickly as 'heeled' socks. Wool was rationed and every tiny piece was treasured.

  3. What a nice gift you had!
    Those socks are really cute!

In my workbasket is a puff flower blanket. It'a a long project that I might abandon a few days for something "lighter".
