...Father's Day 2017...

...I totally meant to include these photos in yesterday's post...but missed them somehow...so this is the 'cards and presents' portion of the day that I mentioned yesterday...

...at Church the kids gave all of the Dads a fridge magnet that they had coloured...and the Man got one when he came in the door...but one of the sweet little girls came up to him shyly and asked if he wanted to trade for this one that she had made...soooo sweet!...these kids really love their pastor...

...so...in addition to taking Scout's Papa out to lunch...he also got him a nice cool (we hope) cotton shirt...sorry it's blurry...kind of an olive green/khaki stripe...and I'll take a photo of him wearing it...but you'll probably never see it...

...and a tin to keep his oatmeal in...

...have I mentioned before his penchant for eating oatmeal as a nighttime snack...and his insistence that the oats be Quaker Old Fashioned...

...Scout and Our Girl love to go antiquing...and this tin was one of their antiquing finds...it's a reproduction of the 1896 tin...and dated 1996...so it's 'old' by their standards...haha...but I thought it was interesting because it doesn't show the Quaker man in his hat...well it does show a Quaker man...but not the one I'm used to seeing...it's a full length image and he's wearing brown...
