...3.22...Tuesdays with Julia...

...well...I'm still not feeling up to doing much...it's been days since I've exercised...the Man asked me to take another covid test...just to be sure...haha...still negative...so it's just a bad cold...and I've never even heard of a good one...
...so just using some vegan pork seitan from the freezer...and some homemade sauerkraut...
...we made the Vegan Porc Braisé avec Choucroute...
...moist and tender vegan pork seitan...
...it was really delicious...I happen to LOVE sauerkraut...but I know a lot of people don't...this was reallly good savory comfort food with a German flair...perfect for my stuffy-headed self...

...and all of the particulars are over at The Vegan Version...

~Have a lovely day!

  1. Dinner looks delicious. Sometimes the body needs a good rest before we can get better. I hope you are getting good rest.

  2. I'm a sauerkraut fan too...Duane not so much. Especially homemade but I've not had much luck with it (haven't tried it since New Hill, though!) Love, K

    1. Hey K,
      ...you should try again...it's super easy...3 lbs cabbage...and 3 tbls of salt...that's it...and then wait 3 weeks...
      Love,
      T

  3. I had a cold recently and had forgotten, I guess, how unpleasant it can be. I'm glad it wasn't COVID for either of us though.

I tried sauerkraut in Germany and figure that if I didn't like it there I'm just not destined to be a fan. :) I wish I did though. We love growing cabbage and we have German ancestry so it would be a fun heritage food to make.
