...6.18...Dinner and a Movie...

...so dinner was nothing amazing...pretty typical fare Chez Affectioknit...I made our favorite tomato and cucumber salad...
...the InstaCart potatoes this week were not organic...so I peeled those...the greens are leftover the tofu is simply baked...and I put BBQ sauce on that (not pictured)...and a slice of toasted homemade bread...and tea...of course...I tend to like simple meals like this...and I'm always up for some baked tofu...seriously one of my favorite things...

...and we didn't really watch a movie...for one thing (HA!) we got a late start...we FaceTimed with Our Airman on his Saturday morning...before they headed to the beach...then I talked to Mom for an hour during a late evening bike ride...so we ended up spending our movie night just catching up on all the Senate January 6th hearings...it is really disheartening to watch...but hoping something constructive and restorative comes from the hearings...

...what have you been watching lately?...

~Have a lovely weekend!

  1. The salad looks nice and colourful. I haven't watched much television this week but late last week I watched 3 movies back to back (seldom done). I'd never seen them before. I enjoyed the first one best: The Clock (Judy Garland & Robert Walker), The Englishman Who went Up A Hill and and Came Down a Mountain (Hugh Grant & Colm Meanev) and To Olivia (Hugh Bonneville & Keeley Hawes).

    1. Hi Penny,
...thanks for the movie recommendations...I bet the Man will like those better than my usual choices...

  2. Food looks nice and healthy of course...glad you got to chat with your airman....we haven't been watching the hearings. I've read a bit about it in news reports but I'm just not thrilled about watching it. I just can't figure that there is anything good that will come from it - no accountability will ever come of it so why even bother? The real culprits are never going to be punished for instigating the treasonous behavior....end of rant. We're watching Sons of Anarchy....strangely a family drama like the Sopranos!! In a creepy biker gang kind of way. Love, K
