...9.7...W.I.P. Wednesday...

...way back on July 1st...I posted about the little present I was making for Amy's Birthday...we normally get together in July in between our two birthdays...but this year there was just a lot going on...and then I had covid in July...so here we are finally getting together the first week of September...oh well...definitely better late than never...
...first of all...I made her a little Bible bookmarker like the one I made for the Confirmands...
...and then I knit a little sachet for her drawer...or car...or closet...
...it's just strip of stockinette with some yarnovers at the top and bottom...
...which will line up when folded to make little eyelets for a ribbon...
...so I folded it in half right sides together...and stitched the sides together...
...turned it right side out...
...and crocheted a little picot edging around the top...
...just single crochet...three chains...single crochet repeated around...
...and I already had this pretty sheer ribbon in my stash...
...so I just wove that in and out each of the eyelets...
...starting and ending center front...
...and tied a bow...
...and then I got some sheer fabric from my stash and stitched a little pillow and filled it with herbs...rosemary, sage and thyme...and sprinkled on a few drops of essential oil...
...and tucked that inside...
...and tied it back up...it smells nice and fresh without being too overpowering...
...and dollie #2 has a face...I may need to go back and redo that one eyebrow...she looks a little bit quizzical...

...what's in your workbasket?...

~Have a lovely day!
