...10.17...Friday Update...

...y'all saw the Man take the ceiling fan down...and paint the tray ceiling...so now that all that is finished it's time to put it back up ...and we got one of those nifty little medallions to go underneath before we put it back...so I primed it...

...and painted it the same blue as the ceiling fan...

...and then I used the ever handy post-it note to make a template to cut the medallion where the bracket for the ceiling fan's mounting screws are...they'll be hidden by the cover...

...then just centered the sticky-note template on the medallion...

...and used a utility knife and an exacto knife to cut out the pattern...

...and of course it fit perfectly...but we had dinged a few places on the ceiling fan by taking it down and putting it up...so I touched those up by spraying some of the paint into a cup and brushing it on over the dings...and so we let everything dry overnight...

...and completed the reinstall...the ceiling fan in action...

...and still...it's so nice to have it back in place...

...now all that's left is just rolling some paint onto the walls...two coats and we'll be finished...it's going to be such a nice change to go from the dull tan to the serene soft blue...Palest Pistachio...more blue than green and not pistachio coloured at all...haha...
