...5.13...W.I.P. Wednesday...

...I unraveled a pair of cotton socks that I never wear...they don't have a 'princess' sole and they kind of hurt my feet if I wear them for a long time...

...so I'm going to reknit them using the Walking in the Maize pattern...it's no longer available at the Ravelry link though...but if you go the WayBack Machine (aka the web archive) it is available as a snapshot there...

...it's a pretty basic sock with a band of ribbing around the arch like an athletic sock...I'm not doing the birdseye heel though...just a standard slip stitch one...and I am doing a princess sole...of course...

I've started with a provisional cast-on as I have a limited amount of yarn...so I'll come back and pick up those stitches and knit the cuff...but probably a lower one for an athletic sock...
