Scout's Sprouts

Scout had definite plans for all of the planters on and around the front deck - I can't wait until they come to fruition...

He had a whole orange/yellow theme going when we bought the seeds. In the window box he planted 3 different Marigold mixes - the first one (sprouting here) are the shortest and will be a variegated mix - it looks like they germinated well even though it's been unseasonably cold here - then there is a 'row' of taller yellow Marigolds in the middle - and an even taller row of an orange yellow mix...

In the centers of the round planters he planted a circle of Rudbeckia - and surrounded that with a circle of African Daisy - and surrounded that with a circle of Marigold mix - so not only does it go from tallest at the center to shortest on the outside - there is also a nice color scheme there as well...

I'm really hoping that it turns out exactly as he envisioned everything while perusing the seed packets...

  2. Oh, you'll have to take photos when they pop their little heads out of the soil.

My daughter planted herbs. The chives don't seem to be doing well but the parsley is good. I figure 1 out of 2 is not bad.
