...I've been listening to all the buzz on the web about a new vegan cheese - Daiya - finally available for retail sale...
...so of course I had to snatch some up...it comes in two varieties Mozzarella and Cheddar...
...this is it bubbling under the broiler - I should have taken a little video...
...it really does look and 'behave' like dairy cheese...
...it even stretches...
...I thought it was very good here just on plain wheat toast - this used to be one of my favorite breakfasts - and now it can be again...

yummy looking! where did you find it? i have been steering away from cheese for a good while now...been using my nutritional yeast/almond concoction alot. i like the flavor on most thing (spaghetti, salads, etc.) but it would be nice to have something that would actually melt.

I'm sooo in love with Daiya, it's my favorite vegan cheese and we've been buying it once a week since it's been available locally :)
Looks good! Looks like it has NO choleterol, which is great.
