...the New Door...Day 3...

...we've had a couple of rainy days...but the work has been continuing on the new door...

...Scout still likes helping with the sheetrock...a very good thing...

...the Man and I finished the last spindles about 10 PM last night - still plenty of daylight yet...

...and the siding is all back in place...

...so the exterior part is pretty much finished...we need one more trim board right below the door...oh...and some caulking and painting too...

...in the middle of all our work...one of our farmer friends brought us an old tractor tire wheel that he's not using any more...guess what that's for...right a fire ring...it's perfect!...my kind of recycling...

...back inside...the Man puts the perfectly cut sheetrock in place...

...and it's raining again...

...I'll take a shot with the flash so you can see the inside of the door...just a little bit of spackling is needed...and then some paint and curtains...

It all looks just great! How wonderful that you have someone who likes to sheet rock...I don't.
Tractor rims make the best fire rings. Have a great weekend and a happy 4th.
