...so I finally got around to making the Grape Jelly out of the grape juice I made from the Concord Grapes my Mom brought...
...not sure why I waited so long...as it really is not that difficult to do...
...just followed the directions in my Sure-Jel...exactly...
...and mixed juice, sugar, and pectin...
...sterilized my jars and lids...
...kept skimming the top as it cooked...
...ladled the jelly into the sterilized jars...
...and processed in hot water bath for ten minutes...
...and then waited for the 'ping' of the successful seal...

My grandmother made amazing jelly, mostly crab apple and blackberry called bramble jelly!
ReplyDeleteI've made apple jelly with dried chilli by using bought apple juice - it works!
